KwaZulu-Natal shottists Zandra Grove from Pietermaritzburg (right) and Arabella Barco from Durban have returned home from Germany where they experienced the sport at a much higher level in the ISSF Junior World Cup.

While they did not win any medals at their tough Under-21 level, with Team South Africa finishing low in the final standings, the air-rifle specialists from the Saara KZN region said that it was an eye-opener that their international rivals had far better and more expensive equipment, in addition to revelations about more in-depth and longer training schedules.
