A man in his 40s was found lying next to his car with multiple bullet holes on the M4 southern freeway on ramp from Quality Street in Durban on Friday night.
Emer-G-Med paramedics who attended the scene found the man had died at the scene from bullet wounds.
Kyle van Reenen of the Emer-G-Med said circumstances surrounding the shooting were unknown and the police were investigating.
KwaZulu-Natal police were yet to comment on the matter.
